About Us

 Miss Carolyn is our Company Owner and Artistic Director at Kennedy Dance Company! She is a professional dancer and instructor with BFA in dance from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities as well as an MBA in Business Management from Concordia University Wisconsin. Carolyn started dancing at the age of 4 with her two sisters locally at Accent of Dance in Waukesha with Kellie Plath & Mary Cummings and Trinity Irish Dance Company Milwaukee under the direction of Mark Howard. She has performed throughout several venues and theaters across the USA and has demonstrated experience in performance skills, dance technique and choreography as well as teaching all levels. She has studied under Toni Pierce-Sands Principal Dancer, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, as well as Anayna Chatterjea, Guggenheim Choreography Fellowship recipient, and McKnight Choreography Fellow. She has also competed at college level dance team with the Minnesota Premier Dance Team – University of Minnesota. Carolyn is a multi-time Regional and National Champion Title Holder and specializes in performing and teaching Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Irish dance, Modern, contemporary, hip-hop, lyrical, classical Indian, dance team, poms and ballroom.  She also hold certifications of advanced level training in Pilates Reformer and Yoga. 

Miss Carolyn thrives on her fierce passion for the L O V E of dance and inspiring other to be their best self! If this is your first dance lesson or you have been dancing for years, Miss Carolyn is happy to meet you at your level and help you become the best dancer and person you can be! In her free time, Miss Carolyn enjoys playing tennis with loved ones and serves as Acquisition Chair at the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF), advancing the vitality of the Midwest’s performing arts sector through strategic fundraising, stewardship, and community engagement. As a passionate advocate for the arts, Carolyn was partially responsible for the founding and implemented the Emerging Leaders Council Board and Committee serving the Milwaukee Ballet, which earned itself the Largest Non Profit Organization of the Year from BizTimes Media in 2024 and represents largest ballet in the state of Wisconsin, cultivating young professionals into future leaders, stewards and advocates for the Fine Arts. Her work focuses on building the next generation of patrons and supporters, ensuring a strong legacy for the future of the performing arts for future generations.
